Selection Process

To get admission in Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS) Diploma in Nautical Science course candidate has to pass SIMS entrance exam. Additionally candidate has to clear Indian Maritime University common entrance test (IMU -CET) which is mandatory to take admission in any Merchant Navy related course.

SIMS entrance exam is in 3 parts : 

  1. Online written exam – This exam consists of multiple choice questions of English, General Aptitude, Reasoning, Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics.
